Scouting Report:
Smart with defensive reads, and working through progressions. Excellent footwork in the pocket, and good mobility out of it. Over achiever, and excellent leader. His energy and passion seem contagious pre-game and players respond. But off the field issues, and his questionable behavior and rhetoric when leaving Texas Tech, paint a mixed picture. Small frame, and medium arm strength but big play making ability. The Rose Bowl displayed some issues with his size, when too many passes were batted down when playing against a bigger, tougher defense.
