Scouting Report:
Sometimes called LSU’s “little big man,” Edwards-Helaire’s game echoes that of another small but versatile NFLer – none other than Darren Sproles. Possess both excellent burst speed and straight-line speed. Is a patient runner with good instincts; follows his blocks well and allows time for them to create space before making his move. While not that powerful, has demonstrated an ability to use his smaller stature to his advantage at times to gain leverage.
Also runs good routes and has good hands. Transitions well from the catch to turning up-field for YAC. Should be an impact player quickly for a team that uses a lot of RPO and short passes.
