Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3 | Round 4 | Round 5 | Round 6 | Round 7
Round 1:
1) Tennessee Titans – Cam Ward QB, Miami 6’2″ 223 lbs
This is a done deal. They haven’t talked with any veteran QB’s & cancelled their meeting with Shedeur Sanders. Ward is a good leader, Goes through his progressions quickly & finds his 2nd & 3rd options. It may take him a while to get used to the playbook but the future is bright in Nashville.
2) Cleveland Browns – Travis Hunter CB/WR, Colorado 6’1″ 188 lbs
The Browns aren’t sold on Sanders so they take the most exciting player in this draft. He’s the top CB on my board & the top WR too. I think he’s going to play more on offense then defense. Whoever is under Center will love this player.
3) New York Giants – Abdul Carter OLB/EDGE, Penn St. 6’3″ 250 lbs
The G-men signed both Russ Wilson & Jameis Winston so they decide not to take a QB. Carter will probably their best OLB/ER since LT. Had a terrific career for the Nittany Lions & now the NFL looms. He’ll be all over the field for the Giants. He’ll also bring a winning attitude & leadership to the team.
4) New England Patriots – Will Campbell OT, LSU 6’6″ 319 lbs
The Pats grabbed a couple from FA. Mainly Stephon Diggs so now decide to get face of the franchise QB Drake Maye some better pass pro. He’s the best pass protector available for this draft & can open up major running lanes for the rush game.
5) Jacksonville Jaguars – Tyler Warren TE, Penn St. 6’6″ 256 lbs
The Jags need WR,TE, CB & OT so they grab a difference maker for their offense. Warren will be a major upgrade for the TE position. He can run the seam or the sidelines for chunk gains & is a good blocker on the line & downfield. QB Trevor Lawrence will do back flips for this selection.
6) Las Vegas Raiders – Ashton Jeanty RB, Boise St. 5’9″ 213 lbs
New HC Pete Carroll loves to pound the rock & has done so throughout his career. It started in his early years as HC at the Jets & the Pats & onto USC & the Seahawks so I don’t think anything is going to change here. Jeanty had 2601 rushing yards & 29 touchdowns in 2024 for a 7.0 avg.
7) New York Jets – Mason Graham DL3T, Michigan 6’4″ 296 lbs
The Jets could go in a few directions with this pick but new HC Aaron Glenn is a defensive minded coach & will use Graham to implement his culture in turning this franchise around. He’s an outstanding leader on the field & in the locker room.
8) Carolina Panthers – Jalon Walker OLB/EDGE, Georgia 6’1″ 243 lbs
New HC Canales is adamant about selecting this player. I think it’s a little early for him but the Titans brass doesn’t think so. He’s doesn’t have enough length to play on the EDGE full time
but is an aggressive LB who can put pressure on QB’s when used in sub packages. Could also play both LB positions exceptionally well.
9) New Orleans Saints – Shedeur Sanders QB, Colorado 6’2″ 212 lbs
The Saints need a new QB in a hurry. QB Derek Carr is going to have surgery & will probably miss at least 1/2 the 2025 season so new HC Kellen Moore grabs his own QB to develop.
Sanders has all the tools to be successful in the NFL. He didn’t participate in the combine drills but looked good at his pro day showing good arm strength & lofted deep passes on target. It’s a new dawn in Nawlins.
10) Chicago Bears – Armand Membou OT/G, Missouri 6’4″ 332 lbs
Da Bears GM Poles decides to get QB Caleb Williams some better pass protection. Membou can help them out at 2 positions but should settle in at ROT where he played in Columbia. Strong & thick offensive lineman who can dominate on the line of scrimmage.
11) San Francisco 49ers – Kelvin Banks OT/G, Texas 6’5″ 315 lbs
The Niners have lost a lot of good players on both sides of the ball this off season. GM Jon Lynch & HC Shanahan decide to start in the trenches. Banks has started at LOT the last 2 years for the Longhorns & didn’t allow a sack in 2024. Agile & quick with good athleticism & footwork. Also can open up fat holes for the ground game.
12) Dallas Cowboys – Tetairoa McMillan WR, Arizona 6’4″ 219 lbs
The Cowboys decide to get Cee Dee Lamb, a running mate which they sorely need. He’ll be able to move the chains & has enough speed to torch DB’s deep. Has long arms, hands & fingers to just pluck the ball out of the air. Should be XLNT in the red zone.
13) Miami Dolphins – Malaki Starks FS, Georgia 6’1″ 197 lbs
The Dolphins lost all pro Safety Javon Holland to FA & he must be replaced. Starks has been an all SEC & All American performer the last 3 years in Athens. Is a good tackler but is very impressive in deep pass coverage.
14) Indianapolis Colts – Colston Loveland TE, Michigan 6’6″ 248 lbs
The Colts were hoping Warren would fall to them but no dice here. Loveland is no consolation prize. He was the Wolverines most consistent receiver in 2024. Another TE who can run the seam & sidelines for big gainers. Is a good blocker on the line but needs to improve down field. This is a big need for the Colts.
15) Atlanta Falcons – Mykel Williams EDGE, Georgia 6’5″ 260 lbs
The Falcons are in dire straits on the EDGE & Williams will come in and be an immediate contributor. Had an injury in 2024 or his stats would be much larger. Possesses the strength & power to go around & through OT’s in his pursuit of opposing QB’s. This would be a great local pick & a fan fave.
16) Arizona Cardinals – Jihaad Campbell ILB, Alabama 6’3″ 235 lbs
The Cards looked lost at times on defense last year & Campbell will be an immediate impact player in his rookie year. A seek & destroy LB with sideline to sideline speed. He had 117 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 passes defended, 1 interception & 2 forced fumbles in 2024.
17) Cincinnati Bengals – Nick Emmanwori SS, South Carolina 6’3″ 220 lbs 4.38
The Bengals lost all pro FS Jessie Bates to FA last year & the back end hasn’t been the same since. Enter Emmanwori who tore the roof off Lucas Oil Stadium at the combine. He was the best all around athlete there. This player is a body builder & looks just chiseled.
18) Seattle Seahawks – Grey Zabel G/C/OT, North Dakota St. 6’6″ 312 lbs
The Hawks are in good shape at OT but their interior offensive line needs to be upgraded. Another player who had over the top performance at Indy & looked great at the Senior Bowl
workouts & game. He could be a solid OT or G but has the talent to be an all Pro at Center.
19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Will Johnson CB, Michigan 6’2″ 202 lbs
Johnson takes a good slide here but the Bucs couldn’t be happier. He was injured & missed significant playing time or he would be a top 10 selection. Johnson can do it all. Can play cover man or zone & be just as effective. XLNT tackler in the open field & has the speed to not allow separation.
20) Denver Broncos – Omarion Hampton RB, North Carolina 6′ 221 lbs
HC Sean Payton needs a solid RB to tote to rock & pick up 1st downs. Has very strong legs to break tackles & pick up yards after contact. Will help take pressure off QB Bo Dix & give them a better all around offense. This could be the key to the Broncos putting more pressure on the Chiefs & Chargers.
21) Pittsburgh Steelers – Kenneth Grant NT/DT, Michigan 6’4″ 331 lbs
Grant is a mauler & a physical force on the defensive front. Has the strength to just manhandle offensive linemen. He’ll totally stuff the run game & put occasional pressure on QB’s. This is the Steelers biggest need.
22) Los Angeles Chargers – Emeka Egbuka WR/WRS, Ohio St. 6’1″ 205 lbs
Egbuka has had a stellar career in Columbus. He put in his time behind Marvin Harrison Jr for 2 years before getting his shot. Runs a solid route tree, has good moves, sticky fingers & knows how to get open. He’s the all time leading receiver in Buckeye history with 205 receptions, 2868 yards & 24 touchdowns in 37 starts!
23) Green Bay Packers – Matthew Golden WR, Texas 5’11” 195 lbs 4.29
The Pack needs WR (2), CB, OLB & TE so they decide to take the speed demon out of Austin. He really burst onto the scene during the last 1/2 of the season & in the CFP. He also has good moves & jukes to get by DB’s on his way to the promised land. He’d be great on end sweeps. You can’t teach speed, it’s God given.
24) Minnesota Vikings – Jahdae Barron CB/CBN, Texas 5’11” 194 lbs 4.39
The Vikes need to upgrade their secondary. Barron would be a XLNT addition.A good tackler & ball hawk. Very coachable. In 2024 he produced 67 tackles, 1 sack, 11 passes defended & 5 interceptions. The Vikes don’t have many selections so they need to make them count.
25) Houston Texans – Walter Nolen DL3T/DL5T/EDGE, Ole Miss 6’4″ 296 lbs
Nolen has been a destructive force all through the SEC season in 2024. Every team had trouble containing him. He can play several positions along the defensive front. Plays with a slippery style that enables him to penetrate into the back field where he can cause havoc, get sacks & tackles for loss. In 2024 he had 48 tackles, 6.5 sacks & 3 passes batted.
26) Los Angeles Rams – Trey Amos CB, Ole Miss 6’1″ 195 lbs 4.43
I’m big on this athlete & think he can be a big producer & star at the next level. He transferred from Alabama to be a starter & had a very good year in 2024. Can play man or zone but I think he’s better in man. Has the speed to not allow separation, sticks to WR’s like glue, tracks the ball well, is a solid tackler all over the field. His only quibble was his straight line speed but he put that to rest with his 40 time at Indy.
27) Baltimore Ravens – Tyler Booker G, Alabama 6’5″ 321 lbs
Booker is probably the best interior offensive lineman available for this draft. Looked outrageous at the Senior Bowl workouts & game & carried it over to the combine. Also interviewed very well at both events. Shows strong character & locker room leadership. This is the Ravens biggest need & you know how much they love Bama players.
28) Detroit Lions – Luther Burden III WR/WRS, Missouri 6′ 206 lbs 4.41
The Lions could use another WR who can stretch the field & scare defenses besides Jameson Williams. Was a very good player in the Missouri program for 3 years. Should come in & contribute right away. The Lions could use him on end sweeps similar to Deebo. Definitely has the speed to separate from DB’s, runs a solid route tree, has a nose for the end zone & was very well liked by his teammates at Mizzou.
29) Washington Commanders – Tyleik Williams NT/DT, Ohio St. 6’3″ 334 lbs
The Commanders have had problems shutting down opponents run game. Williams has been under the radar & hasn’t been getting the recognition he deserves. Has contributed strongly for the last 3 years in Columbus. Should help shut down the run game & is quick & agile enough to put pressure on QB’s. Strong & athletic defensive lineman.
30) Buffalo Bills – Shemar Stewart EDGE, Texas A&M 6’5″ 267 lbs
The Bills could really use an upgrade on the EDGE. Stewart didn’t have big stats but his upside & potential is off the charts. Big, strong & physical ER who will emerge to pro bowl level with proper coaching. Could go earlier.
31) Kansas City Chiefs – Derrick Harmon DL3T/DT/NT, Oregon 6’5″ 313 lbs 4.95
HC Andy Reid can plug n play this guy next to All Pro Chris Jones & the sleddin’ up the middle will be a lot tougher vs Chiefs. Harmon can contribute all along the defensive front. Wowed the combine with his 40 time for a big man. In 2024 he had 45 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 passes batted & 2 forced fumbles.
32) Philadelphia Eagles – James Pearce EDGE/OLB, Tennessee 6’5″ 245 lbs
Pearce had a good season & a solid combine. He had the fastest 40 time for ER’s. He did not interview well at the Senior Bowl or the Combine. He has a few character concerns which has forced some teams to take him completely off their board. The Eagles don’t have any qualms about character as long as he performs well on the field.
