Extremely technique-sound and disciplined, with elite awareness and recognition skills. Understands offenses and plays through the whistle with excellent effort. Is able to be effective on the edge, getting very good leverage on blockers. Works his gaps reliably, and is not a liability in coverage. Has shown effectiveness getting into the backfield in a variety of ways, both inside and outside. Doesn’t have the prototypical frame or elite athleticism that NFL teams are looking for in an edge defender. However, will be very attractive to teams looking for extremely reliable and smart defenders.
