Scouting Report: K’Lavon Chaisson
School: LSU Position: Outside Linebacker Class: Sophomore Height: 6’4″ Weight: 238 Projected Draft Round: 2-5
Scouting Report:
Looked like the best defensive player on the field before getting injured in season opener in 2018 against Miami. Is recovering from an ACL, but has made a speedy recovery and back on the field. Has a complete game as an edge rusher with power and speed. Can beat blockers with leverage, utilizing a fast bend around, and also with power by locking on and overpowering with his immense core strength. Does an excellent job of switching up pass rush moves, and has a number of polished techniques using his arms to get through lanes. Can drop into coverage and has very good agility and sideline to sideline speed. However, is an elite edge rusher at heart, as long as it appears he has fully recovered from his injury.
He HAS TO come back next year & perform on the field. He’s been hyped up a lot but his play on Saturdays & his Stats haven’t matched the hype! Hopefully that’s due to his injury in last season & not fully trusting his body this year. If hes half as good as ppl say then he will come back to LSU, dominate the SEC & lock himself into a Top 10, maybe Top 5 Draft Pick next year!
